Why use Social Media at all?
After all, we are now in an instant world where, news in one hemisphere appears in another in a twinkling of an eye. You only have to see that every one is using an I Phone or an I Pad. Even children are watching nursery rhymes on I phones.
That is the key reason why you have to be on Social Media. Because you can contact with every body anywhere at any time.
If you have a business now and wish to have a growing business in the future you have to be on social media.
Social media is for people who are really serious about being in business not only just today but in three to five years from now.
My view is simply that if you ignore social media then you do so at your peril.
Why use Social Media – well if you do not you might well not have a business in the future.
Those that ignore Social Media will ultimately pay a high price as they will simple go out of business.
We firmly believe that Social media is the key for any business in today’s world.
Some people say surely Facebook is all I need? I wonder ,in truth, how many people really believe that?
I know Facebook has been amazing for many people and has a great place to be used in any Social Media Plan. Some clubs and promoters invite their fan base using it. They are often very successful using it.
But as I write this I sense that the best days of Face Book have actually been and gone!
How can I say that, well it is a very fast moving world and is Face Book keeping up to date with every thing?
I don’t think it is and now it has become a public quoted company with a very high initial share price it is struggling to monetize its very substantial client base.
As it does that I think it will drive some businesses away.
Don’t get me wrong YOU need to use Face Book absolutely no doubt about that but its image and glitter is now dusty and getting to become out of date all In My Humble Opinion of course. That said I sense some kind of revival and in all things there will be trends in fashion.
Twitter on the other hand is very fast and immediately responsive.
A Tweet has an estimated life of some 45 seconds or so and if it is not read or re tweeted with in a short time period it will be doomed to being stored and never read whereas a Face Book post will be available for weeks, months and even years in the future.
But for a business living in the moment Twitter has to be a very important part of social media and indeed your marketing plan.
